COMETS and BBMRI-Omics join forces

First joint meeting was held on June 22, preceding the Metabolomics Conference 2019 in The Hague.

The COnsortium of METabolomics Studies (COMETS) and the BBMRI-Omics community both focus on performing metabolomics on prospective cohorts. Their first joint meeting was on June 22, preceding the Metabolomics Conference 2019 in The Hague.

The meeting about the application of metabolomics in epidemiology, was organized by the NIH and supported by BBMRI-NL. The aim was to get to know each other, exchange common hurdles and solutions, and come to collaborative actions.

Ella Temprosa of COMETS concluded: ‘It takes 3 c’s to overcome most hurdles: Community, Creativity and Collaborations.’ The prioritized actions were placed on a common agenda for the coming year to be followed up in a meeting next year.
